I'm Phil Karl — a NYC native, founder, and angel investor. I'm a co-founder of Outlier Labs, where we help build, incubate, and invest in tech companies.
Past notable companies I've co-founded include LiveProfile — a mobile messenger and social network which grew to over 100 million users before being acquired by BlackBerry, and DocShare — a document sharing and e-signature platform.
My first computer was a Macintosh Performa 550 with a 28.8k modem. At 9 years old, I began learning HTML and building websites. By age 13, I started my first internet business, a web and game server hosting company.
